INSTALLATION OF SOLAR PANELS \u2013 ADVICE
UPDATED 2023<\/b><\/h3>\n

The erection or alteration of most structures requires the permission of the Executive Committee. <\/p>\n

Body corporates cannot unreasonably decline requests to install sustainability infrastructure such as solar panels.<\/p>\n

The Executive Committee encourages owners installing solar panels to minimise the visual impact on the complex as a whole. <\/p>\n

In considering requests, the Executive Committee will take the following factors into account:<\/p>\n

  1. Where possible, the placement of panels should be avoided on roof surfaces fronting Foxton Crescent.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Consideration should be given to minimising the impact of the panels from general view throughout the complex. <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Panels should be installed flat against the profile of the roof. When seeking approval, details of the number of panels and their proposed location must be provided.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. The views of immediate neighbours should be sought by the unit owner, as is the case with any other external additions or alterations, prior to seeking Executive Committee approval.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
