Some time ago tyre marks first appeared on the driveway but with limited effect. Attempts were also made to remove the rubber deposits from the affected areas without success.

In recent times the problem has increased noticeably (see photo below). It appears that the tyre marks are created by the recycling truck but not as a result of poor driving or excess speed. We have been advised that the design and engineering of our main driveway has a dip and a camber running east to west. When the bogey wheels of the truck are on this section the rear bogeys are lifted causing them to spin slightly creating the marks. There has been discussion with the drivers about this but there is no easy solution to the problem. It was also noted that there are more marks than usual caused by tar from the recent resurfacing work in the area.
